So, are there any Photoshop effects that can be used to up the quality of textures?
I'm a new user and I want to start retexturing games like Banjo Kazooie because I love the game but I hate the fact that it hurts my eyes. So, can Photoshop filter the blurriness out of some textures? Thanks.

Not really. You will have to make the resolution higher and then clean it up.

How do I make the resolution higher besides just remaking the entire texture?

I use phototshop 9. Yours might work dofferent is you use something else.
Image>image size then on the bottom it shows a resolution of 72. Change the resolution 2x 3x or 4x.
eg. 72 4x = 288.

Doesn't that just make it bigger?

Where exactly do dumped textures go?

textures are dumped in a folder called texture_dump. That folder is located in the emulator's plugin folder.
If you want to load the textures, put the retextured textures in a folder called hires_texture, it should be in the same folder as texture_dump is. Inside the hires_texture folder, you will need to put the name of your game, make sure the name is the same as the name in the texture_dump folder.

I checked dump textures on Rice, and they dump, but there is no texture_dump folder.

There is. Your not looking in the correct place. What do you use? pj64 or 1964.
If you use pj64 it is locate like this. project64 1.6>plugins>texture dump>(the name of the game).
