High end combiner is for all video cards including nvidia ones. These shots were taken by using geforce 2 MX400. If you have Radeon or new Maxtor, you have get better result because Radeon has three 3 texture combine stages.
If your video card supports opengl 1.2/1.3/1.4, you should be able to get even better visual effects with opengl 1.2/1.3/1.4 than this DirectX combiner. (If you have correct opengl driver installed.)
