Is it possible that project64 is replacing some setting or file or codec or whatever file during the install

I can't run GTA:SA since I've installed project64, as far as I know, It's the only thing I've installed

I have a clean pc, clean install, no viruses no spyware no porn entry I've reinstalled every driver and I even reinstalled my codecs pack just in case...

I'm no n00b in computer I'm pretty ressourcefull with it enought to make money out of them, anyway just to say I've done prettymuch I could to solve this problem.

Now I know project64 is playing with plugin and codec I just need to know what exacly project64 is messing with before I reformat the whole thing ( I don't want to please) And since I don't have any ghost of my box (yes I know..) help me find what is messed up here.

Oh and I've reinstalled directx too..

thx

pj64 does not install anything, all it does is copies it's files to your install dir. The installer main point is removeing registry keys.

Maybe GTA:SA has some logs or something, but I can not see how pj64 could mess with it

yes it's weird

I've donne de reg file to remove project64 settings but it still crash

Would it be possible that project64 apply his 3d setting directly to the system default setting, I've seen that often

Doomulation

?????????????????????????
There is no such thing. There are no global 3D settings. And PJ does not modify them in any way.

Doomulation is right, Project64 doesn't mess with any other settings other then those that are in the Project64 reg key, and jabosoft regkeys (all plugins regkeys are stored in thier authors name)

make sure that your not using any cd emulators, i believe GTA:SA has issues with them.... if that still doesn't work, try updating then using a no-cd to bypass the need for a cd... (no-cd's aren't illegal... using them with copied games is)

of, i just thought of something.

check the refresh rates of your monitor, GTA-SA will crash out when the game is set to use a resolution where the refresh rate is too high.

to check this, delete the .cfg file in c:\documents and settings\(user)\my documents\... there should be a folder for your GTA settings somewhere there.

nah I've done everything, hat .set file in my doc, put a nocd crack, I've reset the resolution to minimum even if I've been playing for about 4 month with this install, nah I'm telling ya something happened

But hey I guess this aint a GTASA forum so thanks for the advice, and doom, there is a default 3d setting, just go in your nvidia control panel... " Gobal setting"

But I was refering more to files and some sort of setting for the system on how to use it...

But thanks I'll just reformat
