What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Messing Around - Semi Realistic Mario 64

For now I don't really have any plans on making a texture pack. But I felt like playing around with the rice plugin today so I messed around with Mario 64... I'm probably in the minority of people who think a Super Mario 64 realistic retexture would be pretty cool.

So here's some semi hi-resolution mario. (Couldn't get one of the stupid textures to go hi-res, also, I originally used a normal grass texture but changed it to the green tiles for the hell of it..)

All textures were taken from free texture libraries:

Personally I don't like it at all.
Super Mario 64 is one of the worst games to create a realistic pack for. If you want to make a hires texture pack for Super Mario 64 it is going to have to be cartoonish for it to look good.

Like I said, I'm in the minority. :) I don't think my little attempt at a realistic mario looks too great, but I think it could be done well.
