I hope this isnt a bad question but, is there a list that says what rom has what ucode?
sk8bloke22
April 24th, 2002, 04:16
no, i dont think. wat i do atm is use ogy's glide64 compat. list which has the ucodes of each game. buuut his latest list uses the real ucode names, so use his post in the thread:
http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4344&pagenumber=2
to identify wat each ucode is. someone really has to do an .ini for tr64...

Icepir8,
Your ogl plugin is really good and Ogre Battle64 seems to run well except :
1. The game dialog box seems to shrink (too small)
2. Generally, game text is hardly readable (asif anistropic=2 is set)
3. The game characters are white but visible (I think 3D only)
Not sure if it is core, plugin or pc issue - just highlighting. Attaching a screenshot for your reference.
Look forward to the next version.

Icepir8, I cant get any graphics when I use your plugin in TR64 or 1964. Everything is black in Super Mario except the words. PJ64 is the only emulator that runs your plugin with gfx for me. Is there something Im doing wrong?

strange the way it takes the current window size as windowed res. very good work though,

PJ64, im guessing also tr64, r the only emus that r likely to run the plugin fast. ive tried 1964, and its pretty slow. so stick with pj64 or tr64. u need to select the correct uCode in the video options once the rom has loaded, for mario its Ucode 0, so when prompted (after loading rom) go to video options --> select Ucode0 and then click OK. then click OK on the window which prompted u to select the ucode (ull get wat i mean). mario does notactually run the best, oddly....he seems to hav a massive moustache looks crazy, lol.

interesting, why is it slow in 1964? I am not saying that 1964 should be faster, but it is interesting to be slower, isn't it? I tried myself with my PIII-600/Geforce2MX400, it is slow, too. so, just wonder.

Just wondering something, is this one of those video plugins that is nVidia only? I tried playing Zelda OoT and Zelda MM and found some severe problems. I blame it on the fact that I'm on a system with a Radeon, if it has been mentioned before that it's nVidia only OGL, then I apologize for even posting...

I don't think so, in fact, my Geforce2 does not show much graphics either with Zelda OOT and MM. After seeing shots from sk8bloke22, I believe it is my geforce2 driver problem.
But I have the latest drivers from Nvidia for my XP. Anyone knows which driver version is the best for my GeForce2 MX400?

Actually I got much better gfx output with v 0.2 than with v 0.3 :(
Using Detonator 28.32 on gf2 mx 400.

it worx pretty well in 1964 4 me! and my machine is only 950, (though a true athlon, that helps), gf2 mx 400... 256mb...
the only minor problems in super mario 64 are the red spots in the corners of some textures, well, almost all textures, i'd guess, but they are reall minor actually.
Dr. mario has better menus than any plugin i've seen, but still isn't playable due to that strange in game static color problem that every gfx plugin seems to have. and it is VERY slow in 1964, which is the only emu i use.
i got a video exception instantly in mk 4.... u probably know about that already! then i had to reboot.....
AWESOME THOUGH, TOTALLY AWESOME.
bout time us geforce users got a plugin.

I think the 21.83 detonator drivers were the best for GeForce2 cards ???

Might be frame-buffer stuff?

i get gfx probs in areas, but seriously majoras mask runs better than most games, in fact even better than mario. zelda runs fine, but only real after the intro. i get the same results as chrylove too, red dots in mario, etc.

Now I figured it out, the problem happens if you restart the game or run the 2nd game. OpenGL is not shut down well enough, so there are major graphics loss when running the 2nd game, I have to quit my emu and restart it, then everything gets back to normal.
The problem happens to both PJ and 1964, I guess it is the plugin problem, Icepir8 need to check this.

now u mention it, that has happened to me. for example, when the nintendo logo appears when u start either zelda, when u run the game a 2nd time u get a green block, instead of flashy gfx, if u get me.
