It's another bot... just input the stuff he said into google and you will find a lot kinds of the same text...

Looks that way. Registered at numerous sites in the past few days.

So, what's this bot supposed to accomplish? I see no links for porn, ED drugs, free iPods...nothing. I would do the usual ban/delete, but my curiosity is piqued, so I'll let it go...for now.

That's what I was wondering as well. Perhaps this bot has broken free from doing its master's bidding and merely wishes to make a home for itself on our forums?

Looks that way. Registered at numerous sites in the past few days.

Go to the Gekko forum and you will see many bots like this one.

Yeah, it's been deleted.

I must admit I kind of like this bot. It's friendly and doesn't advertise anything. If only they were all like this, then we could all get along.

aarathi doesn't seem to be a new bot, it's just a member which tried to talk in threads he knows the topic IMHO.
So please aarathi don't dig up such old threads like the x-mas threads next time.

Hmm, google turns up some interesting info. For instance, are you aware that aarathi is a fan of Tom Petty, Eminem, and Shania Twain?

Ok, it's not that unusual, but he (she?) is also a member of SheKnows (site for women) and czechforum (all about the Czech Republic), as well as dozens of other, unrelated messageboards. :happy:

Still, the posts seem too sophisticated for a bot. Would someone (I mean, a real person) go to all the trouble to spam a site, or have the bots advanced to this level?

Yeah, bots are on a real high level nowadays, they sometimes also can read captchas, but I think they can't click on an activation mail yet.
