Free Painting program for Retexturing?

Well, I want to be more creative, but gimp 2 isn't very good with that, so is there a free download that really helps and loads the textures in the game right? If so please tell me.

No, I would say gimp is the best freeware image editor (if you know how yo use it).

well, you can PIRATE; I wouldn't recommend it... Gimp is it, or a free trial of a non-free program...

Why do you just want to draw over them?? that defeats the purpose if all you're doing is making them the same thing with new colors or something...
