What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

castlevania - my first retexture

Googol

Give me back my floppy face!
Uh, what'd you change?
If you're serious about working on this project, though, you could use some of the stuff I did for Castlevania a few months ago. Just do a search for it.

Uhh, though can you tell us what you actually changed though? Nothing in that image appears high res to me.

cloudscapes

Carbon-based molecule.
It's the floor, I think.

zelda fanatic: did you increase the texture resolution? I reccomend quadrupling textures for best results. :) doubling is okay too, if its seen small on-screen.

I also reccomend (reccomend, as in you dont have to listen) that textures keep more-or-less their same brightnes, contrast and saturation, unless you are really trying to go with a concept. Changing the intensity and color of textures is risky, because some might start to look bad next to others of varying colors. This is up to you though.

www.classicgaming.com/castlevania
^ This website gives you not only a overview but a storyline using the dates provided by numerous castlevania manuals.
Castlevania is like my favorite platformers of all time. N64 one was kinda ho-hum, but still fun back in the day.

Sin and Punishments coming along quite well. Still figuring out some of the tutorial (though most of its done) and then all that is left will be the ingame dialogue, which I do intend to finish regardless of what everyone says, and the credits if they're in Japanese.
