What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Hi all, I've been following what's going on here for a couple days now, and I'm very impressed. I would like to get in on this, but although I have a working Knowledge of Photoshop, I would like a good tutorial so others like me can help out. Thanks in advance.

Yes, but that only tells where to put the hi-rez textures. I'm looking for how to edit textures...i.e. what resolution, do you use existing files and draw over them, or start from scratch, and what filters to use. I think if we had something like this, there might be a lot of new people doing this, and the more the merrier.

This is kind of a no brainer, but why don't you try opening the dump, make it 4x the original size, put what you want over the original, then save it to your hires folder. Do you use photoshop at all? If you do, I can help you, if you use paint shop, I can't help, no experience there.
