Doesn't work for me either. VisualBoyAdvance 1.6a, with or without a BIOS.

Edit: Hmm... it works with BoycottAdvance and a BIOS. I guess it must be a glitch in VisualBoyAdvance.

Well, that's rather different, I'm using the latest VBA, The Legacy of Goku, and the GBA BIOS, i get to the game fine, granted I never play the game, but it can get into it fine without the hardware message.

You may want to turn off Remove Intros, i know that affected the sequel.

You can download this save state and load it in VBA, it is one step after this error message ;)

Try downloading the us rom instead of the early rom. Also download the newest vba.

If you had read through this thread, you would have seen a save state that takes you past the point where you get the hardware message, use it.

You write the following setting in vba-over.ini file?
("xxxx" is the game code.)

[xxxx]
saveType=1

Hexidecimal

"Not a problem. The game contains anti-piracy protection that will make it fail to run on "hardware" that contains SRAM. Selecting EEPROM as the save type fixes the problem."

Yes, Not using a bios file and selecting EEPROM does fix the problem.

You need to delete your battery saves first, and then change the save type and start a new game.

"DBZ LGCYGOKUALGE" is the full error code thing.
