need help finishing a vba skin

I finally figured out how to make a skin after days of trying. It's still a work in progress but with a little work it will be nice. The sides need some work and that has never been my strong point. I'll show you what I'm talking about. If anyone wants to help me fix this problem, please pm me.

Although I removed the white edges in Paint by changing the background to black so I could see them, when I substitute it for the original it makes no difference! And I can't run the region creator, as I use XP. Can someone do this? I cleaned up an area I missed at the top:

Yup, gave it a little facelift in PS but I'm not sure if I removed to much... You should add a power on /off animation...

I use XP and I can run it. Just run it through the command prompt. That's how I did it.

Also, do you still have the original image? It seems the left edge of the GBA is nudged... Look for a big, read circle:p

Here is a png with transparency. The edges need some slight smoothing if it is to be used. Oh, Internet Explorer is broken so the image will not appear transparent...

Yes, Internet Explorer does not support png transparency, apart from version 5.5 on the mac. See here (http://www.pj64cheats.net/slougi/png_transparency_galeon.png) to see how it appears on my screen.

You can only use it in DirectDraw or GDI mode, not Direct3D or OpenGL mode.

I spent a lot of the day trying to fix this. It isn't perfect but neither am I. I've decided to release two skins now. One is of the silver one I was working on earlier and another one is a purple gba. Here is the silver one.

also, would there be a way to make a gba sp skin that would be closed when you dont have a rom loaded, but when you load a rom the thing would open, i dont mean full animation, im just talking like a picture of it closed when no rom is loaded, and than a pic of it open when a rom is loaded.

This would then be a sepparate skin, then VBA only supports one image per skin.
If you want a closed GBA SP, then you have to load a skin with a closed GBA SP.

May you ask nicly Lord Forgotten for a loaded and not loaded or GBA or GB skins with different images.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I thought I'd post here since there's already a huge skin collection here anyway! :) Does anyone know where I can get a purple GBC skin? I'd appreciate it, as I own a purple GBC. A few Zelda skins might be nice too...:D.
