ZSNES: ROM realizes it is a back up

I am using ZSNES v1.4, WIN 32. I have been playing "Tetris & Dr. Mario" with my friends for a couple of weeks. But one day my friend told me the game stopped working. When we try to load the ROM, it says:

WARNING
This game is not designed to be used with the accessory devices which are currently connected to your Super NES control deck.​

The game has worked fine until now. I don't know what could have caused it. Is it possible my friend changed an option without knowing it? Is there an option in ZSNES to fix this? Or is it something within the ROM. I tried to use the same ROM off of some one else's computer on my computer, but it came up with the same thing.

Any help would be appreciated. ^^

go to config -> add-ons.

Make sure you have None checked.

If that doesnt work then delete zguicfgw.dat and zsnesw.cfg

youll have to reconfigure zsnes but It should fix your problem.

I think having the "use PL3/4 as PL1/2" selected causes that problem. I remedied it by unselecting it.
