Zelda OOT MQ Error MSG When Entering Water Temple

I get this error message when I try to enter the Water Temple:

Can someone tell me what I need to do to fix this?

PC Settings:
Processor: P4 2.66 GHz
Memory: 256 MB RAM
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200
Sound Card: SigmaTel C-Major Audio


PJ64 Setings:
Version: 1.6
Video: Jabo's Direct3D 8 1.6
Audio: Jabo's DirectSound 1.6
Controller: N-Rage's Direct-Input8 V2 1.80a

Make sure that your ROM is good.

I ran GoodWindows and it says that I have the good ROMs (Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time - Master Quest (E) [!].z64 and Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time - Master Quest (E) [f1] (NTSC).z64). I get the same error message with both ROMs. This really confuses me. What do you think it is?

Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time - Master Quest (E) [f1] (NTSC).z64 is not a good dump.

There is an unverified (U) version of the Master Quest floating around out there if you want to try and find it. I havent had any problems with it. Dont know if your saves will still work or not though.

The f1 one is a fixed rom that turns the PAL version into the NTSC one; therefore it's a hack and not considered to be a good dump.

All you need is PLUGIN!

Try using Jabo's D3D6 1.5 as a video plugin. Or Glide64 (you'll have fire problems with that one). And forget about "open gl plgins are best for nVidia cards" - they AREN'T! A good D3D plugin is all you need. The same problem exists in OOT when entering shop as adult Link, and it can be fixed with plugin change.

it might be a hacked rom.. but its still a good rom as it works. even if goodn64 doesn't say it is good.

i have the F1 patched version and i also patched it so the rom header had masterquest instead of ocarina of time...

i dn't get these errors.

Disable all cheats and load the game from a native save (start > b?)

um? yes it does.

the fact its working makes it a good rom,.. i get no errors (out side of your typical cheat errors) at any point in the rom. the dump is fine, and goodn64 is the one that named it the F1 hack... so its already a known hack by goodn64

Try the files that are in this zip. Theres a few Master Quest ROMS in there (the top few) and if they dont work, then you will have 2 find the "(U)" version.

it was released as the E version i believe. i'll have to look up on it.

No, no! That friend of mine has the same versions of ROMs, RDB, Game Faq & emulator like me. Only he has ATI Rage Mobility, Intel Pentium III@700MHz and 128MB Ram. He can only start a few games with pj64 1.5.
