They're just doing what every other console manufacturer has done, which is to take advantage of technology improvements that can cut costs.
Still a reasonable price considering it's new technology. I guess I'll wait until next year to buy a 360 console, but I might pick up some of the games beforehand.Jaz said:I've read that they'll be producing a HD-DVD add-on for something in the region of $100, but also including them in their new Xbox 360's. So I'll most likley get a new Xbox 360 when they hit the shelves, and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Or the gullable. XDAfter all, everyone who buys a console on launch day is going to get screwed at somepoint - but then we're the hardcore, of course.![]()
If I recall, High Definition is a strain on the processor when compared to Standard Definition. Plus, the developers have more freedom in what they want on-screen at once.I mean wtf got into them? The PS2 worked just fine with a friggin 400 mhz proccesor. What did they need a 3.2 ghz 8 core proccesor for????
To harass Microsoft, and to show how long computer equipment can function at 300 degrees, and to show how plastic melts.Blacklord said:The PS2 worked just fine with a friggin 400 mhz proccesor. What did they need a 3.2 ghz 8 core proccesor for????.

Blacklord said:It cuts bills mostly, couse i didn't a shit of a drop of prices when they made PS3. I mean wtf got into them? The PS2 worked just fine with a friggin 400 mhz proccesor. What did they need a 3.2 ghz 8 core proccesor for???? A freaking 1 core 1ghz proccesor would have done the job just FINE!!! And would have kept the company out of losses.

WhiteX said:I second that, history told us that Sony was never a winner on forcing media upon us.
And HD DVD is backed by huge companies such as IBM and Microsoft. HD DVD will live on in the computer history, and the Blu-Ray will be favored by the movie industry.Allnatural said:I wouldn't be so quick to declare a winner. HD-DVD is cheaper and got to market first, but Blu-ray has greater backing from the movie studios.
