Your Favourite Book?

Yeah, books, those stuff made of paper that you read. So, what's your favourite (Porn magazines don't count, duh)?
I would say that my favourite would be George Orwell's 1984, quite an amazing book in my humble opinion.

1984 is the candidate for my favorite book as well. i just read it not too long ago for the first time and was quite impressed.

then theres Die Physiker [the physicists] by Friedrich Dürrenmatt (not too widely known outside the territory i live i guess), that would be on my list too.

i must admit i rarely read novels, more historically/politically related material and biographies. thats why my list of beloved ones is rather short for that matter.

1984 is a canidate, for a classic it ws good. However, alot of you will call me crazy, but I think Jurassic Parkl was an awesome book. If you see the movie then read the book, you really get an understanding of how much the movie really sucks. Alot of the *NEW* things in the 3rd movie were in the first book. Such as the cages and stuff.
The movie also made it seem like it could happen now, and the book tries to make it somewhat more futuristic

Actually you guys could help me here.

My favourite book is / Was a Flip side book in the style of Terry Pratchet.

Its Name was something like God & The Devil the true story.
or something like that.

I lost it some years ago in a house move & would love to get the thing back.

Does this book ring a Bell with anyone ?

one side is Gods Story & turn it over & upside down to see The Devils story lol.

My most favourite book? "The way of the empty hand" would be it. However, thats no novel its a philosophical book. Hm... favourite novel... "The Soulforge" comes to my mind, very nice book. I´ll edit this post if something better comes to my mind.

Ah! The Illias, Odysse and Aeneid were very good books too, though I never read them completely, Lord of the Rings is very good too, same as Dragonlance Chronicles and Legends.

1984 is a classic, and propably one of the best books I have read so far. The Forever Was was quite nice too, I liked the ending
Then there are various books by Arthur C Clarke, I especially enjoy his short stories. And of course every true geek must have read K&R, the book of all books

When i was younger it would have been the 'tomorrow when the war began series' but now it would prollly be brave new world.

I keep getting told to read animal farm so i may pick that up soon.
