Windows XP Startup and Shut Down Screens For Win98SE

You could make one easily enough, a startup screen anyway. I don't recall Win98 having much of a shutdown screen.

Here's one I made because I'm such a nice guy.

It looks weird, but that's the way Win98 is. The image will be stretched to the proper aspect during startup. Just rename the file to "logo.sys" and put it in your C:\ directory.

Hmm... Don't know why the image didn't display. It's not too big, size or dimensions. Oh well.:hehe:

And if you are who I think you are cooliscoo(l), why not have Martin add that last "l" to your username. Unless you wanted it the way it is.

whoa thats pretty cool i'd use this if i still had 98, but since i had xp, i dont wana go back

lol @ the person that wants to make 98 look like xp, the gui in 98 and xp totally differ. If ur pc can handle win98 and u got a lot of ram just dont bother with all these xp themes jus get the real xp, it rules.

Stezo - The reason i want it to look like xp is because im damn sick of the plain win98 interface. for the GUI i use windowblinds. for the icons i use Xp Icons. and thanks to allnatural, i have the startup screen!

yea i understand u m8 i used to do the same thing with my pc before i got xp, its a good idea. What i meant was if ur pc can run xp why not use xp? its stable as hell and everything these days is compatable with it.

Not quite everything. My UMAX Astra 1200S Scanner isnt compatible with it. I think its time for a new scanner honestly, but its hard to find a full 14in. these days.

Anyway, I would second Allnatural, get XP by all means possible, it looks nifty, runs better then win98 for me, and it is very, very stable.
