Can anyone help me! I'v just downloaded the latest version of the 1964 emulator, and i don't know how to run it. When giving instructions, can be a little simple because im new to this! Also iv downloaded the required plug-in for my radeon graphics card.
Just click at the executable to start 1964 (1964.exe) and then just load a rom ("load rom" or add some directorys to the rom-folders list). Also note that roms are illegal, and I won't tell you where to get them. You can get a lot of free demo- and gameroms from www.emulation64.com . That probably helped you a little, and also note that you need to select the plugin before you use it (plugin-settings).
Yeh that another problem getting roms?!!! also i still cant find the .exe file? where abouts is it located in the download? Iv got 4 folders, and then a load of other random things?
Well, ok then, im not totally stupid. File extensions are selected to appear on my computer, but i cant find the .exe file? I tried searching for it (1964.exe) in find files, but it did not return anything. Have i got the right thing? anyone got another emulator for me? Does it need to be run in ms-dos?
the file should be in your load of random things. no it doesnt need to be run in dos. And i never said you were stupid but its impossible to know what you know about computers. try redownloading it and make sure to pay attention to the path it installes to and make an icon for your desktop.
The thing is, i know wher i have placed the download, as i unzipped it to a specific location, and there is just no .exe, thre is just a load of nonsense files, that cannot be opened on their own, have i got the right file here?
did you get it from here http://1964emu.emulation64.com/ if so then redownload it and save to desktop then just double click the file and it should install. there should be shortcuts on the desktop and in program files when you are done.
Just get it from the site above and double click the executable and it should install in program files/1964 automatically, then go there and find the program.
