I know there was a similiar thread about the subject of dying on the net (not literally!) but this is more a ethical dillema which raises the question if the person dies and the administrators are notified would they delete that person's username leaving it open for another person to take it thus stealing that person's identity?
Would they leave it in the data base so that person's membership's appears active or would they simply make that name impossible for another to take?
And what's stopping someone, say in a hundred years, of taking our usernames? I mean, can you copyright a username?
Imagine in 2107 someone pinches Zilmar's name and he's a real noob and he posts alot of stoopid questions in PJ64 9.7 (A revision every 10 years!) The real Zilmar would be rolling in his grave!
