weird message on screen

when playing mario 64 i get some text on the right hand of the screen

can i get rid of it as when i complete a stage it allows me to level select and all cheats are unmarked.

You prolly have a bad ( cheated ) ROM. Try to find another one - from different source.

it worked well until i used one of the cheats halfway through the game
