I guess you misunderstood my second post, it was actually unrealated to the first...
the first post was about plugin process, and thank you for the response
my second post was about problems with the games themselves, not the plugins that run them. if there was a problem inherent with the game (such as the POV spinning in multiplayer in cockers bad fur day (I think that thread came to the conclusion it wasnt an input plugin issue) could it be fixed by trying a different compile of a rom? liek say there was an initial release of conker's bad fur day called 1.0. For the next batch of game paks made, they fix a few glitches and release it again with version 1.1. someone who buys that game cant tell its a different version unless they look for the glitches.
now...say there is an emulation problem that cannot be fixed in version 1.0. If I also had a copy of a subsequent release, a version 1.1, it is plausible that the glitch in the first isnt there in the second.
therefore, a rom isnt really fixed, its just a new rom of the same game but missing the glitch.
I was just wondering if this is all true, whether it had been tested or not for games with multiple releases such as ocraina of time (or even on european releases of games released in north america).
has anyone had any luck with this?
andrew
ps: sorry for the confusion between those two posts; they were seperate questions regarding seperate aspets of emulation.
