Voodoo3 + DOS Glide... How to get it working ?

Wheh i've bought my v3 card i've installed drivers and tried to run Shadow Warrior 3Dfx. And i've only got black screen, I have glide2x.ovl from v3 drivers but it's not working...
Descent 2 - same results, Extreme Assault - still same sh!t. GTA bombs to DOS.

What can i do with this crap ?

Ok..listen carefully.. what you do is..You take the Voodoo out and you throw it infront of a semi thats going 70 miles an hour. Then you run and u step on it!! and you yell 3dfx sucks!! okay now the hard part. You get 50-75 bucks and you go buy your self a nice nVidia video card

Flash asked simple question he didn't ask if voodoo3 sucks or not.

I don't know anything about DOS Glide.

Voodoo3 rules and Glide is super API.

note I didn't said Nvidia sucks I only said Voodoo rules. It'll be nice if other people make so.

My configuration:
Duron [email protected], Voodoo3, 128mb pc133@158, ASUS KT133A,ESS sound card,Win98se,Linux Redhat 8.0.

All games that are playabel with PJ64 run full speed on my machine(than what is wrong with voodoo3).
And for PC games "Return to Castle Wofenstain" runs great.

Goldeneye 007 is very fast with Glide64.

To play DOS games that use Glide, you have to reboot your computer in DOS, and load properly the drivers. If you need help in order to instal the dos drivers, try to ask how in the Voodoo files Forum

There is a DOS2Win Glide "wrapper", Glidos. It allows to play DOS Glide based games in Windows (if you have a voodoo card or a Glide Wrapper). You can download a free demo, the full product costs 10$, payable with PayPal.

No way. GTA can use only DOS Glide as HAL and it's one of my girlfriend's the favorite games. And V3 is faster than any nVidia card on P-II 450.


AS you can see i have V5 5500 and it's great. No one card can run ZiNc faster, even GF4Ti. And UT - it's looks amazing. Even UT2K3 (look, i have 550 MHz cpu) runs @ 25-45 fps.
PSX games @ 1280x1024 with FSAA. Sweeeet !!!
