Visual Boy Advance's Tilt Sensor

I can't get this to work properly. When I set the controls (I've tried both keyboard & controller) it simply doesn't work.

I'm trying to play WarioWare: Twisted! & Yoshi's Universal Gravitation (otherwise known as Yoshi: Topsy-Turvy)

Am I supposed to be getting crackfix versions of ROM's or not?

The motion sensor thing in VBA only appears to work with GBC games.
