Very Slow Frame-rate

I finally got everything figured out with the dolphin emu, obtained a few GCM roms, but my frame rate is running at about 10fps. Are their any basic configurations that i neglected to change?

Your computer is too slow to emulate the GameCube with just one core. The only way to make it faster is to have a 64-bit, dual core processor + a 64-bit Windows with the x64 build of Dolphin.

Of course, you'd know this already had you read some of the stickies here.

its a AMD Athlon 64 XD Duel Core 3.00GHz

You need a 64-bit OS, and the 64-bit version of Dolphin. Let me point out that the only real reason to use Dolphin right now is to check out its development progress. For playing and enjoying games you'll want a GC or Wii.
