I tried it out a few weeks ago. I can't remember if it was my network card or my mouse that was having trouble getting to work (I try out lots of distros and I forget which problems I have with each one). Anyway, I have somewhat older hardware that might not be as well-supported as yours, so I'd give it a try if I were you. As long as you've got broadband, a free hard disk partition and a CD-RW, you don't have much to lose.

The chem teacher at our old high school uses this in his classroom, likes it a lot because java is automatically integrated into FF. Also is apparently pretty speedy on old hardware.
