UK - Laptop Screen Repairs - Help Wanted!

Just wondered if anyone in the UK knows of anywhere that can repair/replace the severely cracked screen of my beloved IBM Thinkpad laptop, preferably somewhere with an online contact point..?
Laptop turns on but the display behind the mesh-y screen cover-y anti glare thang (Don't really know what its called and am far too lazy to find out.) is seriously cracked, leaving not so nice black chunks in the image displayed.
If anyone can point me in the direction of a reliable, reputable repair place that I can get a screen replacement quote from, I'd be very grateful.

Is it still under warranty? I just had my LCD replaced. The spacebar on the keyboard managed to make a tiny little mark that wouldn't wash out. It actualy was barely visible, but I called dell, and they sent a technician to replace it with a brand new one the next day free of charge. 15" UXGA (read 1600x1200 max res) LCDs aren't cheap either

I'm pretty sure replacing an LCD is fairly easy. If you can afford the price, it's not that big a deal. Compared to other laptop components, that is. But I could be wrong.

When that happened to my laptop screen, I just bought some duct tape that matched the color of the case (black) and taped up the cracks in a long strip that stetched horizontally across the whole back of the screen, came around front, and sliped in back of the plastic card covering the sides of the screen.

This REALLY worked! Kept it from cracking and worked like a charm

Well, the price is the big deal. My LCD screen was actualy made by IBM (dell doesn't make their own), its wholesale price is around $450.

15" UXGA from Dell goes for about $650, and I think that's pretty standard.
