It worked fine before, but now the core percentage is always arond 80% and at certain times (for example during the spinning mask intro in Zelda MM) the fps drops to about 16! In game, it's about 50, though it was at 60 before. It doesn't matter which graphic plugin I use, it's always the same.

That Damn Good
Looking at your specs you shouldn't have any problems with this emulator. You might want to try uninstalling and then reinstalling the emulator. You also might want to get the newest drivers for your video card.

I did reinstall it, didn't fix it...

The fps is lower in all games, but the problem is most noticable when the mask spins in MM... the core percentage rises to 97%, and the fps drops to 16... On the file selection screen and in the game, it's just slightly worse than normal. As I said, it worked fine before.

And it works in other emus.

Irrelevant Insight
I'm not sure how to explain the way that you used to run the game (Majora's Mask) perfectly, but in PJ64, despite my specs, the mask sequence during the introduction seems to slow down a fair bit. That said, the frame rate is still apparently at 50fps (more without limiter).

It could be that the game itself tended to slow down at this point on a genuine N64, but seeing as I haven't played the game 'the proper way' in about a year and a half, I wouldn't know (gave the game and my '64 away recently) .

I wouldn't worry too much about that slowdown at the beginning. The 50fps is probably due to you having a PAL Rom.

No, the real game isn't supposed to slow down... I happen to own it.

I got a similar problem once. All emu's that used to run a twice the full speed unthrottled suddenly dropped below 100%. It took hours to find the problem but then I discovered it was the plugin for my newly bought controller that caused it. I disabled the controller in the emu and it was back at the former speed....

This is wierd. I copied the 1964 files to a CD and ran it from there. It worked just like before! It doesn't work when I run it from the hard drive.

Help!
