Trouble installing Chankast Utilities

I've extracted the installer file and run it. When I click on update it says 'wrong folder selected' no matter where I tell it to install to.

I did a forum search and found someone with the same problem but it was from 2004. A zip file was provided but the link was broken, and the file was probably out of date anyway.

So how do I install this thing?

Edit: Don't worry found more info. Sigh, looks like I'll have to wait for a better version of chankast.

you don't really need Chankast utilities if you are using Chankast 0.25a. If you still want to install them, you need to install them in the C:\ root, nowhere else.

I think your got version 0.2a of Chankast Utilities and that won't work with Chankast 0.25.

Like Agozer said, theres no need for Chankast Utilities, I notice no difference with them and some people had their computer messed up because of them.
