I am using mupen64 for playing Zelda ( ocarina and mask ) or i tried to use it

i get ( from the fps coutner ) 20fps and not under 15 fps .. so it should run smoothly but it feels like stopping every second..the sound only sounds crappy if someones activate and deactivates it.. and so on..
i tried several plugins for video output.. everytime i choose dynamic recompile ( just to try if this is faster )

and the mupen64 is blocked..
the daedalus plugin does not even start something.. it always brings this error..
do i muss some lib? or something like that ?
Yes i have 3d accelleration activated..
i use:
Athlon 1300 ( real 1300 not + )
GeForce 2 Ultra 64 DDR
512 MB RAM
Debian SID
