I got a new Wingman Cordless for $27 at Walmart.:satisfied (Walmart is stupid)

Nope. Not stupid, extremely smart. Most people have heard this before from WalMart, but here it goes again... lower prices below everyone elses (they can afford it), when all the competition goes out of business, raise prices higher than ever. Sure its illegal but they really dont give a damn.

and neither does the republican government that they have purchased outright.

but dude, the logitech wingman rumblepad, DOES have dual analog sticks, and rumble.... and i've used one for over 2 years of intense gaming without a single glitch.

i don't know what pad you're talking about, but it ain't the

LOGITECH WINGMAN RUMBLEPAD. THE GREATEST GAMEPAD EVER CREATED THAT I HAVE USED ANYWAY.

and personally i don't f*ck with cordless, cuz i LOATHE swapping batteries.....

just a lil reminder of the bummers of that road.

I'd be interested to try the wired version since I've heard little bad about it, but I had the Logitech Cordless Wingman Rumblepad (or whatever the hell its called) and it flat sucked. The analog sticks had basically no resistance .. the just flopped around, making a stationary hold difficult to index. Also, a couple of the action buttons started to stick on me VERY early on ... like after a few weeks. The springs under the action buttons were way to stiff and wayyyyy too tall. Rapid fire wasn't good.

I have two pads hooked up to the PC right now. An N64 controller on an adaptoid, which I use for just about everything and haven't had any trouble getting to rumble (even in Nebula), and a PSX Dual Shock through a different USB adaptor for ePSXe. THe PSX controller doesn't rumble unfortunately, but the USB adapter was only $10 at Radio Shack and works flawlessly, with the exception of no rumble drivers. I only use it for ePSXe so no biggie.

I like the N64 controller for several reasons ... 1) short, quick reset on the action buttons for speed with control, 2)plenty of buttons and well placed, 3) I like the analog stick on this thing, 4) it has a big beautiful + shaped D-pad which is needed for old 2d emulation and arcade. I hate the round type D-pads on so many PC gamepads. I used to have a Microsoft Sidewinder and thought it was pretty cool until I tried it with ZSNES.

Its just me but I think the N64 controller w/ adaptoid is the best and last great gamepad for console emulation. You can get a Gamecube controller USB adapter now but I wouldn't want it. Nintendo has (rightly) put the analog stick as the main control now and put the + shaped d-pad in secondary role below. It's perfect for the Gamecube and I think its the best console controller ever made, but for the systems that came before the N64 controller is a better package.

I have two "joysticks" set up on the USB port.

One is your typical Joystick (the original Microsoft Sidewinder, actually...)

The other is an original (non-color) Axis-Pad.

I switch between them depending on the game. For some reason, I am more comfortable using the Axis-pad with Mario, and more comfortable using the Sidewinder for Zelda OOT.

The only other game I use the Sidewinder for is StarFox64, go figure.
