Adaptoids are great controller adapters for the N64 emulators. I have 2 of them (one is my brothers) and we use them for just about everything that needs a good controller. Used them on many PC games, emulators, and other stuff too. good quality product. Been using mine since 2000 and they still are working strong.
I will warn you all ahead of time!
Wishtech (the original company that made them and still owns the software and driver license) has NO PLANS to make Vista specific drivers. This means plugins that once utilized the Adaptoid specifically, like the one that is available for most N64 emulators, will not work on Vista. Support is still available through the standard HID driver, but the Adaptoid software and controller mapper will not be available for Vista.

no problem, its not hard to reverse engineer the drivers.... or the hardware technically...

I didn't like the extra 6 bucks eighter, since $30 was already kind
of expensive for an adapter cable. Ofcourse we must not forget
it's superior quality (coff...BOOM..coff.. coff).

Yeah, the Boom adapters are junk. If the Adaptoid is available, I recommend everyone pay the extra cost to get one.
