Texture problems

Heya all, I have tried a few games on the PJ64 emulator, (such as harvest moon) and the edges of textures look really ugly for me.
It seems as if the alpha value of the texture is not used by the emulator to blend them. This problem is especially seen in games that use a lot of pointsprites...
Do all emulators have (small) issues with textures?

One other question, I remember a Snes emulator that could show output using "tv image emulation", which made it look pretty authentic, are there similar options/plugins for N64 emulators?

There is something you can do with Harvest Moon since it uses a lot of sprites. I recommend using glN64() and enabling 2xSAI and Bilinear filtering. It may not be scanlines, but it'll improve the image quality greatly in this game:
