Super Mario World - REMAKE!! Team Work!

Anyone editing the orginal Super Mario World? Great! Because I was thinking about a team working style remake of the SMW game! What ya think?
If your up the challange, POST! I would need a dude that is good at editing the World Map. You wonder how? Dont you know Lunar Magic? Go for a search on Google! You got it? Great. Now let's get the f*** out of here arty:

Actually ive just started messing with this editor and i must say its ALOT easier to use than i would of thought. A ton of work went into it ti make it so damn user friendly. Im working on a total revamp of every level in SMW right now actually. Its alot of work, but nothingless very enjoyable.



MOD QUESTION: This editor lets you make patches for the SMW rom itself, but it is NOT in itself a ROM. Would it be ok to post my final work later on as long as it was in such a patch only form?

Gimme a few days and ill send a patch of the first island. The only thing i HAVENT tinkered with as of yet is the world map itself, but thats comming up next for me to learn, since i would actually like to completly remake the entire world from scratch one day, secrets, switch palaces, paths, everything.




Keep in mind i havent been doing this very long either, but im addicted to the editor more so than to the game itself now :devil:

Erm, a combination of the 2? What is it youre modding anyways? The levels, or the overworld. Because if the overworld gets modded, and (which is difficult) the levels numbers dont corespond between the warp/door/tunnel/portals in the game, its going to crash. Ive already experemented. The least that will happen is that youll end up in the wrong world.

However, if the overworld is NOT being edited, then it doesnt matter.


Ehhmm, maybe we could turn this into an actual mod, eh? Seriously, i can get my wife to redo graphics and animations. I can level design and a BIT of overworld design. Thats ALOT of levels though. Maybe we could get another animator somewhere, another level designer and a dedicated overworld guy (or one of us concentrates on that).



Umm, anybody on EmuTalk interested in this? Its easy, fun, and a cool community project. Comeon peeps, give us input, this thread has been open for weeks and only us 2 have commented it one way or another.

So...long time ago.. erhh..

I can edit the overworld, and the levels
But I can't edit graphics what soever, and custom stuff is kicking on my ball (i cant do that eaither)...

I´ve got the first level done and the overworld..

Please, anyone that can do this kinda stuff, join us!
