this is the 1st working emu i downloaded...graphics are great sound is great, everything is good But...when i 1) try to read a sign or 2) talkto sumthi or sumthing talks to me i cant see any text!...just a darker box area with a blinking down arrow...no text...Its the only flaw I got tho...Any idea whats causin this?

i run a xp pentium 4, nemu works fine at my school's comptuers, and their the same thing

You have any idea what graphics card you have? An XP Pentium 4 isn't that good a description

The only thing I can think of relating SM64 and text not displayed correctly is that you may have the (E) Rom and have the text issue. If that is your rom (check with GoodN64 or see if your framerate stays at 50 etc.), then use the Rice's Daedalus video plugin which solves it.
