Starting SF3rdS For the first time - Help Plz

Alright I have
- (Legally Obtained) dc_bios which include of course the two: dc_flash.bin and dc_bios.bin

- Dreamcast Street Fighter 3 Third Strike (Pal Fixed).cdi

- Chankast Alpha 0.25 (Working Copy)

Ummm .... Now what do I do next :bounce:

BTW I tried used a copy Daemon 3.29 given to me and it screwed my computer up BAD so I had to uninstall that - WHAT else is there that will work to mount images (btw how do you do that)

Now what do I do, Im totally clueless :crazy: BTW im really sorry since this is my first post if i sound like a leecher but Ive never tried chankast emus before.

What is Chankast EX (Didnt know it existed) ... but I though SF3S emulated well on Chankast 0.25 (What I have)

and how to you use Daemon Tools to do what need to be done - I dont need to rip anything from my SFTS CD since i already did .... thats why I have the (PAL Fixed) file of SFTS

acxx isn't the master of simple advice nor makes much sense, really.

If using Daemon Tools causes your computer to crash, there a good chance that the latest version of DT will crash your computer as well (or it may not). If the latest DT does work, you simply mount the CD image to it (if you don't know how to do that, read DT's manual. It isn't hard.)

If the new Daemon Tools still crashes your computer, you're running out of options fast. Either you can try the virtual drive that comes with Alcohol 120% or simply burn the image to a CD-R and playing it from there.

What axcc meant is that you download ChankastEx which is a hack of the original Chankast. it has some very good features that can save you a lot of gray hairs. After you've mounted the CD image, simply start the emulator and make sure that the CD-ROM Interface plugin is configured so that it tries to read from the virtual drive you mounted the image earlier (again, not that hard).

Configure your control and click on Start --> Run. With any luck, Chankast tries to boot the game. If it fails, come back here.

SO I have

- Chankast 0.25 (Im using the original)
- dc_bios
- Daemon tools V3.47

I followed the directions on How to Mount or Watch .ISO Image Files with DAEMON Tools | Articles - Digital Digest and it isnt working - its stopping right when I tell it to OPEN while the Daemon icon IS green :borg:
What am I doing wrong or is it the version of the Daemon OR might I need to re-get another copy of Dreamcast Street Fighter 3 Third Strike (Pal Fixed).cdi

the Daemon Tolls icon is green if you have any protection emulations enabled (that is, SafeDisc, SecuROM, Laserlock or RMPS). It shouldn't affect how the images mount, you you can always disable those and try again.
