Well the compatibility status says the game is "playable". I've tried Jabo's D3D plugins and Glide64 and the result is always the same. During the intro I get a video error and the program crashes.
"the GFX plugin has caused an exception and has been disabled. Would you like to turn it back on and attempt to continue?"
I've tried saying yes to that but the game is unable to resume.
(using DX8.1)

With a Voodoo 3, make sure you set the color pallette to 16-bit color
(16 BPP).

Voodoo 3s don't support 32 BPP or 24 BPP with Direct3D.

Yep, I did that although I don't think that's the source of the problem. I get the same (or similar) error with either the Glide or D3D plugins. I've gotten these plugins to work fine otherwise with other games.

Yes, this problem exists regardless of video card, video plugin or emulator. Intro does not work in this game, period. Skip it, game itself is playable with Glide64 ( Jabo's D3D has severe texture errors).
