Hey, I am having choppy sound problems. I have a 800mhz comp, no clue what sound card is in an IBM T21, but i had supra hle and it ran my games perfect, sound smooth as a baby's butt, and video great. P64 runs my video good, but the sound is horribly choppy, i've tried many plugins, any solutions?

I'm using an 1.2 Ghz Athlon, GF2 64 card and 256 RAM, and I never experience choppy sound. I'm using a SoundBlaster Live!, though I doubt it has anything to do with it... a soundcard is a soundcard. :p

What games are you experiencing this with? I remember choppy sound in Banjo-Kazooie and Ocarina of Time... of course, that was on my 300 mhz machine. :)

Damn. I have basically the same exact system.

1.33 Athlon
GF2 MX 200
256 DDR RAM
Win98 and XP

and I get choppyness in ALL my games, even mario and mario kart. And ESPECIALLY in games over 8mbit like Ready to Rumble. The only thing I can think of is that my soundcard is really an integrated codec "Avance Logic AC'97 codec. But I still get choppy video too in R2R and other games.

Royal Fool, can you tell me exactly what settings you use? Like what plugins and all the techo-babble :D

Thanks

Ok nevermind my previous post, I forgot that when I first got my new comp, I didnt set the bios correctly so it was only set to 1.0ghz. Upped the frequency to 133 about 2 days after but didnt try pj64 again until today after reading your post (and being very pissed about my performance :D) So now that its at the right setting, I'm getting great speed and sound in the games i mentioned before(except R2R.)

Basically any game over 25megabytes are so, the sound and video get alil choppy. I'm going to try all of my games over that size to see if thats my prob.

P.S. *In my best Litty Nicky voice*
