Something changed, I can no longer run Project 64 at 40 to 60fps

I have no played P64 in a few months. A few weeks ago I updated my ATI Radeon software to the newest version. I had problems with it so I restored the earlier version, a days later.

P64 now runs at 2 and 3 fps and I dont know why.

AMD Athlon, dual core 4200
2 GB RAM
150 GB free HDD space
ATI Radeon X800 Cross Fire (256 MB)

Make sure that the RSP plugin is set to Recompiler and and the graphics plugin (if you are using Jabo's Direct3D8) uses Direct3D HAL for rendering.

Outside of that, you could try and remove all traces of the Radeon drivers with uninstall/DriverCleaner, then install the older driver again and see if that makes a difference.

Woah.. what the hell. Am I missing something?

I thought that these games only ran in 30fps. I remember starting a thread once where the consensus was that 60fps was simply not possible (yet anyway).

Oh, unless we are talking the fps counter? It seems to say its at 60, but the game is only actually running at 30.

Yeah, most N64 games only run at 60VI's and 30FPS, so it's a common mistake by the TS and Agozer knew what he meant and answered as good as possible.
