some type of error that doesnt let me play

I just today downloaded this emu, and the ROM Super Mario 64, US version. However, about 5 minutes into the game a window pops up and says:

Project64.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

send error report, or dont send.

and sometimes a different window pops up and says that i need to restart the emulator.

How can i make this emulator work? Please help.

sorry if I sound a bit noobish....but what does that mean?

As in, Processor type, video card model, the amount of RAM, the operating system you use, etc.

Another way to put it: Computer specifications/details please.

Hey how about trying project 64 1.5? because i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN i TRY 1;6; so why not?

1.5 works perfectly!

I finsihed zeldea( ocarina of time), super mario 64.and go on!
