Some simple questions

1. What is a glide wrapper?
2. Is it possible to export, and import models into a n64 rom? Or possibly path directories?
3. How would I go about editing the text in games, such as Zelda:Oot.

  1. A Glide wrapper is an additional binary library linked by Glide64. It is needed for non-Voodoofx video cards in order for the plugin to function.
  2. You can export the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) for them using Nemu64's Direct3D8 plugin by Lemmy, but you'll need some advanced programming skills to use LemAsm to modify polyhedric dimensions and surface colors or import polyhedrons.
  3. Either ROM hacking or retexturing. Get Rice's Video Plugin 6.1.1, or donate to the Project64 team to get access to the 1.7 beta versions. Either of these can allow you to substitute the images used in a Nintendo 64 ROM file (called textures) with custom textures of your own. These textures are not only laid out flat in a ROM file, but are three-dimensionally wrapped around 3-D objects, so retexturing does have some potential.

Thanks for the first two. I can already texture edit, but the problem is I can't edit dialogue. Not the textures such as the word "Roll" on the A button.

You can if you get the texture for the text "Roll" dumped. It should be in there....

Just make sure the texture shows up while texture dumping option is on, and the texture should be logged. I know there's one in there for it.
