Slow Video!

Well, I've just discovered the wonders of Gamecube and I've been trying to get the dolphin emulator up and running on my machine. However, for the two games I have - Metroid Prime and Super Smash Brothers, Melee - the video is extremeley slow. In the lower left hand corner it says that I have a frame rate of 4.5 fps. I don't know if that's indicative of anything, but when I run the game, it shows one screen at a time, each for about 4 to 5 seconds. I've tried downloading extras like plugins or "the unofficial game.ini" files, but nothing seems to help.
When I run Metroid Prime, I get two error messages: one that says, "Unknown Opcode (0x56)", then when I click OK, a second error message appears that says, "Unknown Opcode (0x3)."
When I run Smash Brothers, I get past the "can't find a memory card" error, then it starts rendering the game, but very, very slowly.
I've also tried enabling dynarec, and that increases the frame speed, but only a minute amount.
What's going on?

My system:
MoBo - ABIT NF7-S
CPU - Mobile Athlon XP 2600+, overclocked to 3300+
Video card - Radeon 9600xt
RAM - 768 mb pc2700 ddr

Dolphin is proof of concept that gamecube emulation is possible. Games like Metroid Prime and Smash Bros. are not going to run full-speed.....

Why will they not run at full speed, and other large games will?

To Federelli:

Mervil,
just like JinXD says, Dolphin is just a proof of concept which proofs game cube emulation is possible on pc's.
This emu isn't replacing the REAL gamecube nor is it intend to...

Full speed isn't possible atm and buying a faster system won't help increasing speeds.

End of discussion
(I'm closing this topic since this question has been asked over and over)
