Shutdown Problems

I just recently upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 2 and everything is so much better than what it was. There is only one problem and that problem is when I go to shutdown my computer. I goto 'start/turn off computer'. When it shuts down it immediately starts up again so in order to shutdown the pc I have to do it manually. This only started to happen when I upgraded to Service Pack 2.

Is there a way around this?

Just to be certain, Are you sure your not hitting restart?

Yeah i know the problem, enable advanced power management in the control panel. Now it should shutdown automatically, worked for me anyway
