er not trying to be a git but im wondering did the 1964 guys compile and release a very buggy alpha by mistake? im asking cause it really is bugged to hell

It's not their fault. They didn't find these errors till after release...
They'll fix it soon enough. Use 0.7.3 until then. Just be patient, and don't bag on them for it. This stuff is tough to do. (Especially never bag on Smiff.).
