They usually start with the pros of a game but this is an exception, so...
- As you already said the camera is placed on weird spots sometimes.
- The graphics are almost the same as on the original DC version apart from the design of Sonic (the other characters are exactly the same).
- The original DC version seems to be faster and with less frameskipping than the GC and PC versions.
- The controls are a quite strange (difficult?) especially on PC without an analog pad.
The pros:
- The first released action/adventure 3D Sonic game.
- Many characters, each with his own unique mission and difficulty level.
- Some neat subgames.
- The DX version has more polygons than the DC version.
- The DX version has some "extra" missions that weren't on the DC version.
- The DX version also has some unlockable old Sonic games originally created for GameGear; From Sonic 1 to Sonic Drift and more...
- Only 10$
My opinion: The DX version could have been much better (regarding speed, GFX and controls) but unfortunately it isn't. Despite that, it's not a bad game and it could be considered as a classic.
Since you lost the DC version and you're given the chance to get it now (with extras and low price) you should not lose it.
