Save State help...

I think there is something wrong with the save states. After I save stated
once and went so far in the game and regular save and turned it off.
When I came back I started back to the regular save before I save started.
So, can anyone help me start back where I was or the save states are not
regular saves?

Suggestions

*Did you check the current save state. Maybe you last save stated on a different slot. Try the other save slots.

I tried all the slots, but they all went to the last SS

impossible, i think you're pressing the wrong keys.
in pj64 you press a number 0-9 on its own, then F7 to load that slot.

No. let me show you


Regular Save and Save State at begining,
beat the game and regular save,
close pj64,
open pj64,
came back at the first regular save before the Save State.

That's how it all came out to be.
