SAve me with a SAVE file!!

MAYDAY! I need a save state file because i neglected to save the game near the last level! Oh no! Someone must have a saved state file that was saved towardsthe end of the game - could you link me to it??? Is there a site with saved game files anywhere???

Actually, it's not so urgent, because, in actuality, I haven't played any game to such an advanced point as to be approaching the end, but I was wondering if anyone dies have a saved file of Zelda: Majoras Mask, that has been saved at the end or close to the end? If so tell me where so I can download it and play from there - thanx :holiday::holiday:

I think maybe what you're looking for is this. You can always replay the temples if you wish, there's no real change, especially the last temple.
Anyway, I suppose you get a bonus with all the masks since I've completed the game and even got the last mask (whatever it was called again).

And lastly, you might wish to turn on the "use any item anywhere" cheat so you can take off the mask.
Oh my, I'm *such* a cheater!

Doomulation, that sounds perfect! unfortunately the attachment, when downloaded and opened, is just a useless file containing no data! Or am I doing something wrong? Could you check it? I'm sure there is some mistake/fault somewhere.... :corpse::x

But thanx for answering and for attempting to provide THE answer! :pj64:

If that's true, Trotterwatch, then I'm not accessing it. What I get when I download it, is this: a 1kb file called 'attachment.' Clearly something is not quite right. What do I need to do; is there a download procedure I don't know about??? Anyone help???

I'd love to be able to do that - how do you do it???? I am aware of the 'save target as' option, but that's just directing the download to the location! More help required!!!!

AT LAST! You were right 'mightyrocket'! By re-naming the file as a .zip the download succeeded:D But this smile turned to this seconds later:( Why? Because when I got the rom running, I tried to 'restore', that is resume the game from the save file, but it said, 'Unable to load save state', so there you go! Am I jinxed with bad luck?

For the 4th, or 5th time, can someone help....?

Well, it seems that Doomulation was using another version/region of the rom. I think you need to tell us if your rom is or [E], or something else.

Still not got this save file to work (I'm not being obtuse here, honest). Look, let me tell you what I've got from this attachment Doomulation sent me: a ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK.fla file, weighing in at 97K. But don't I need something more, namely a ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK.pj0 WinZip file too? Aren't BOTH these files necessary for a successful save state?? If so, is it possible Doomulation could attach the .pj WinZip in addition? PLEASE :bouncy: :bunny:

You don't need a save state. All you need is a native state.

Anyway, the attachment would be too big.

no thats a native save, just load through game menu

Unzip, put in your pj64 folder\saves. Load the game and load the first file. Voíla. Enjoy.
Also, rename the file to the same as your rom-name or it won't work.

no leave it alone, pj uses internal names so you don't have to bother with this

this is too funny. These guys' post sound like an annoucers vioce on caffeine. Usually everyones so laid back around here, its great to see someone who is always enthused. Keep it up dude.

Also, there have been other topics like this. You can search at the bottom of the forum, b/c i know there have been topics like this. I like repeating myself is what i like. Actually, with the new forum, just scroll down to the bottom of the page! Check out those threads, too.

At last! I've gone down victory road and got the .fla file to work! It was as you say Clements & Smiff, all I had to do was load the game normally, get to the in-game menu and there it magically appears a complete save file ready to go (that is far advanced into the game) - but there's a problem.

I'm unsure as to what part of the game I'm at? For one thing, I can't leave the ClockTower town, guards insist I stay in! How do you get past them into the big outside world??????????? :crazy::bounce:

Heh, just tried Doom's save. I believe Doom used various cheats to get the Fierce Deity Mask in Clock Town. Try deactivating these cheats. You can't leave as Oni Link. You can't talk to anyone either. You could find another save at www.dextrose.com
