It is interesting, how many people play Role games?
I the big fan of series Might&Magic which publisher, was sunk into oblivion 3DO.

I'm a big fan of Diablo series (specially the diablo II), Neverwinter Nights and good old Baldur's Gate 2...

Might and magic? i don't like.... i sleep when i play this game....

If you are a fan of rpgs then you should try planescape torment (yes i know its old) . Baldurs gate 1 and 2 are both great. but i dont know that diablo really qualifies as a rpg ,but its a great game in its own right. the icewind dale series is excellent as well.

Anyway, I'm playing Grandia II (PS2) at the moment. What a wonderful game. Cheeseball dialogue that doesn't take itself too seriously, and the best battle system I've ever seen. Loads of fun.

I'm into all MM6 games as well. My friend just changed the might and magic vi and vii exe's recently. Previously, with my newer computer, MM6 and MM7 weren't playing, just crashed (I have the platinum edition, so all have the newest patches) with a "devide by zero" error, whatever that is. He just changed a little bit of this and that, and 5 minutes later, it works. Yay! The music is just so great in those games as well.

Also into (only mentioning PC games) Diablo II, Neverwinter Nights, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Final Fantasy VII/VIII, System Shock II, Dungeon Master II (via dosbox, another Yay!)... well there's just too many games to mention, really. I'm into most RPG's to be honest.

Well I'm not into too many of the newer rpg games, but I did like playing older games such as Chrono Trigger. I also enjoy playing Star Wars KOTOR, Parasite Eve 1+2, and Kingdom Hearts.

I used to hate RPGs, but I've completely reversed that opinion in recent years. Maybe it's because I'm older and simply not as good at the "twitch" games as I used to be. Whatever the case, I can thank Chrono Trigger for finally bringing me around. Still one of the best games I've played.

Actually, it's a DC, PC and PS2 game. I have the PS2 version, my friend has the dreamcast version, and my other friend has the PC version. Pretty fun game. Good battle system.

Same thing here Allnatural, Chrono Trigger is what got me to try out other RPG games, but I have yet to find an RPG I can actually enjoy as much as Chrono Trigger.

I'm a Final fantasy addict . I've Completed FF-7 , FF-8 , FF-X .
Now I'm on FF-X-II , i think it's the worst final fantasy part . Don't get me wrong , I like this game ! But it isn't that addictive like the other games...

Since Squaresoft is now Square-Enix , the games became a little bit "lame" (examples : FF-X-II , FF-Crystal Cronicles , FF-Tactics on GBA)

I'm also an RPG addict. I like classic style RPGs (like the final fanstasy series or shining force series), but I don't like Diablo style RPGs despite I like D&D.
BTW, I also have the PC version of Grandia II and I think it is one of the best non Squaresoft RPGs.

Hmmm , i've heard another way to call the genre of Diablo 2 : "Hack & Slay adventure" ! I don't think that D2 is a real RPG , too , because its too simple and has only a small , thin story...

i've been playing FFXi lately, i'm up to nearly 600 hours of playtime.

I played .hack 1 and I really got into the game the first time I rented it, but I kinda lost interest in it the second time. I also played Final Fantasy X-2 and I can say that I really hated that game. I played it for about 30-45 minutes, but I really didn't get into it enough.

Gogothemimic how the hell do you need that ong to complte the whole game (i mean COMPLETE like killed the judge)? I've needed only 250 Hours , that's less than a half than your playtime .

I don't want to critizise your playing speed , but I'm asking myself : WTF did you do all the time ?

I made it to fill + optimize the whole Sphere-Table (i don't know the english translation for "Sphäro-Brett" sry) , and i got 255 of all stats (except luck , "only" 214 , it's enough to make critical hits to every target in spira) on all chars and I've got 60000 Hp on each char , all solaris Weapons and so on...

Gogothemimic probably enjoys the game by wandering around (I also do that a lot).
Each one of Final fantasy series has a unique storyline and feeling (even if some things remain the same), that's why some people like some series more than others
(Personally I like FF VIII and FF V).
