I've been using PJ64 since around 1.4 release and until now I've never tried any plugins. Today I tried one of the popular texture replacement packs for LoZ: OoT. Following every direction, I installed everything and was amazed at how much better looking it was. I ran into a snag though.
I did file>end emulation and tried to open a different game, fooling with options on the Rice Video plugin to further enhance graphics. Only this time it was giving me some errors about not being able to find the direct link libraries.
Gives these errors, along with not being able to find BMGlib.dll. I can uninstall PJ64 v1.6, reinstall it, and use the plugin correctly UNTIL I restart the emulation again, then it goes back to not finding my plugins that are in the plugin folder.
Note that I do have the N-Rage plugin for rumble support that works fine with or without Rice, and it doesn't give me errors through restarting. Also, the default plugins work just fine, just having problems with Rice.
System specs: AMD 3800+ dual core, 2GB PC4200 ram, 200 SATA II harddrive, XFX 8600 XT XXX 256mb video card, 600 watt PSU, Windows XP Pro up to date with drivers n stuff, plenty of fans for air cooling, etc.
