strange bug perhaps

Once i used 3d analyse (thanks trotterwatch)...it exposed the flaw
for some reason the direct x device was not initializing at first with 1964 alone, but with just one time using 3d analyse, it is now working very well

maybe someone will find this useful

Thanks a lot for posting that this is now working :)

Hopefully as you say someone else will find this useful. I didn't actually know that GF2 MXs were affected by this prob to be honest - still 3D Ani is a great work around.

cashmoneyb17 just out of interest cos i had a similar problem when i installed the latest nvidia driver 45.23 i think they were. i put the 41.09 drivers back on and the plugin was working again. i have 3d analyze on my pc i am wondering if you put the new drivers back on would that get the plugin to work

The latest drivers removed some specific things that affect the way the TNT2/GF2 Combiner works in Rices Daedalus (or so I am led to believe).

i thought it must have done something like that to the plugin. dammnit my pc crashes less with the new drivers and i was hoping to be able to put them back on .

actually

they are up to version 53.xx
which i have, and works great (with tweaking)

edit- btw: you only need to run 1964 once with 3d analyse. Its some sort of initialization anomaly...after that, you can delete it if you wish

They are leaked beta's:

Anyway, Rice's Daedalus 5.1.0d should work perfectly with a GeForce2 MX since Rice used this card himself. So roll back to an earlier driver and it'll work (hopefully). Apparently, the 30.82 dets are the very best dets for the MX series of cards, so give those a whirl. The Forceware drivers won't give an MX card many benefits compared to how they affect the FX series of cards.
