Greetings Emutalk.net members.

I'm looking for an older build 0.71 or 0.71 for mame32plus, not the regular mame/mame32, I have searched all the search engines for ages without any results. 0.71 was the last mame build that used the faster optimized engine after that the official mame team aimed for accuracy emulation insted of speed, all the builds after 0.71 uses alot more cpu cycles.

I have the official 0.71 mame but looking for mame32plus because of the additional "super 2xsai" filter :)

I would appreciate any help/tips/info/links about this, thanks

It's slower than hell, but it's (apparently) v0.71u1.

Thanks allot Allnatural :). I finally got it, the emutalk community is great, I only have a 1ghz P3 system and with < 0.71 and below versions I can run Mortal Kombat series and other newer games at fullspeed. At first all the menus/language was in japanese, but when I removed the mame.ini its set to default again.

I dont understand why 95% of the people in the Mame community are strongly against enhancing filters like 2xsai and hq etc. On a PC monitor it is a must, the diffrence is even noticeable/clearer on a TV-output. Arcade monitor users on the other hand I can understand, I have one on my cab as well and its better without any filters.

once again, thanks for the help.

The MAMEdev policy is accuracy above all else, not to mention keeping the code simple and portable. I suppose filters fall into the "needless" category, so they're left out.

That being said, I use mame32plus myself; a self-compiled v0.66 with *cough* some added features. ;)

Is it possible to hack/re-compile mame and remove the "incorrect emulation warnings" coctail/flippscreen/video error messages etc. on the older mame <0.7x versions? beside the skip_disclaimer & skip_gameinfo options?

I dont have any problems with the warning messages, I just press "left and right" each time, Its just that I use mame on my coin sucking arcade cab and I'm loosing customers because of this :D, mostly kids leave when they see the "press OK" message or hit the machine when there is nobody around to ask what to do. I dont know why people dont read my instructions on the arcade, parhaps I need to use a bigger font and more annoying color for the instructions :)

You're using MAME to make a profit? I'm sure that's frowned upon by the devs, if not strictly forbidden by the license.
