Region and version differences?

I always choose the newest version of the rom (actually newest version of game) if there is available. And I never take hacked or trained version, only the [!] roms. For now I have always chosen US version if there is available that. But is there really any difference between different region roms (of course the language may be different but other differences?)? As I have been noticed that Zelda OOT Europe fixed version is most stabled, but what about US version? I almost never choose the fixed version of rom, because those typically doesn’t includes the [!]-symbol.

(U) versions run at a higher framerate. Certain PAL games such as Wave Race had poor PAL conversions, so the (U) version is better.

Later versions (eg. V1.2) often have slight tweaks. Ocarina of Time had better Fire Temple music in later revisions, minor dialogue tweaks, etc. Some are just to negate the use of the Game Shark device.

'Fixed' N64 roms are normally fixed for copiers and not emulators, so they are not officially supported by PJ64.

Japanese version of Perfect Dark has a different texture for Joanna Dark's face is an interesting regional change:

Yeah, I've noticed that too :) Funny btw.
IIRC, Banjo-Tooie has differences between different versions as well (on the first battle with Klungo).

Ok thanks for the help.

If I use my PAL TV for playing roms that includes NTSC (In this case Japan and US roms) picture through the PC, will the picture use correct frame rate?

Just test...

Isn't it better to use PAL instead of "Never The Same Color"?
